Free Dog Cake Recipes

Why limit your dog celebrations to just Birthdays? Dog cake recipes can be used for many occasions. How about an adoption of a new dog or Halloween? Don’t give all the Halloween treats to just the kids, make your own dog cake recipe or better yet, have a Halloween party for your four legged friends. Imagine a costume ball where the dogs dress up too. I think if you had a costume judging contest the dogs might win.

When making a dog cake, keep in mind the dangerous foods for dogs, also remember that sugar is not good for your dog. If you really must sweeten your dogs cake, use naturally sweet ingredients such as honey however, I bet your dog will love an unsweetened cake just as much!

Individual Peanut Butter Oatmeal Carrot Cakes

2 Cups whole wheat, self rising flour
1 ½ cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or melted margarine/butter)
1 egg
¾ cup whole milk
¼ cup unsweetened peanut butter (melted)
1 cup shredded carrots



Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix rolled oats and flour in a large bowl. Combine melted peanut butter, oil, milk and beaten egg. Add liquid mixture to your flour/oat mixture. Stir until dough forms. When you have semi stiff dough, place onto floured surface. Knead dough, roll into 1 inch thickness. Cut your dough with your favorite cookie cutters (you could even cut into dog shaped cakes). Place on lightly greased cookie pan bake for 13-17 minutes. Allow your cakes to cool, ice with blended cottage cheese then sprinkle with shredded carrots. For a Halloween themed dog cake, sprinkle carob chips along with your shredded carrots(orange and black).

Cheese Burger Corn Cake!

1 cup yellow cornmeal
½ cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons honey
¾ cup cream corn
¼ cup melted butter
½ pound ground beef (cooked and crumbled)
½ cup american or cheddar cheese
1 egg beaten

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix cornmeal, flour and baking powder in large bowl. Add canned cream corn, melted butter, honey and egg. Stir until evenly moist. Pour batter into greased pie pan or 8 inch square baking dish. Bake for 18-22 minutes. While cake is still hot sprinkle shredded cheese and burger allow to cool, then feast on. You can’t tell me your dog won’t love this.
